Well, I used the data from the 16th December and figured out that... not quite everything was as we thought. Mostly because of me in the first place, but I won't bore you with any talk of self-fulfilling paradoxes or anything.

Basically, all you really need to know is... Lockon's alive. And in some ways, he was never really dead.

What kind of sick joke are you trying to play?! He was like a brother to me a-and he died! I thought you really cared, but this... this is going to far!

[fading footsteps]

... Oh dear.

[Stands by the TARDIS console and waits for his doom >.>;]

[forces open the door and marches over to him looking both heartbroken and pissed off, tears forming in her eyes]

You're horrible, you know that! Messing around with peoples' feelings like they're toys?!

[brings back a fist and punches at him as hard as she can]

[Takes the punch and grunts, wincing a bit and stepping backwards - she's got a good arm. His mind is racing trying to think of ways to get her to believe him. He's never had to do anything like this before.]

Okay, okay, I deserved that. [Rubs his cheek ruefully] But I swear to you on all of my remaining lives, I'm not lying to you, Feldt.

How am I supposed to believe you?

[keeps her fists curled up at either side as her shoulders start shaking slightly and bitter tears stream down her face]

[Answers instantly.] Two ways. Either you have a poke around my mind and see that I'm not lying, which is easier than it sounds... or I can take you to see him, right now.

[Her eyes widen with a shaky breath. Her voice however, is steady.]

Take me to him.

[Nods and stands next to the TARDIS console, setting a few dials expertly.]

My pleasure. Hold on tight.

[does as he says]

[Sets the TARDIS moving and starts speaking rapidly while he pilots.]

I should warn you, he's in a pretty bad way. I mean, they've fixed him up so that he's out of the woods now, but I was told that he'll probably be comatose for a while. A month at least. Just to give his body time to recover. He's alive though. [Looks away distractedly under the pretext of adjusting their course] Which is the main thing.

[nods absentmindedly]

So, physically, he appears fine now, but he won't wake up?

[Nods] Essentially, yeah. I mean, there's still a few bruises and what have you visible. Apparently for all that they're able to solve internal injuries and things, they can't be bothered to take care of a few surface bumps.

[wipes eyes clear and nods again, looking resolute now]

Understood.

[Aaaaaand the TARDIS stops moving.]

Well. We've arrived.

[lets go of whatever she had grabbed hold of and walks up to the door]
