[Ten is, to put it lightly, completely and utterly fed up at the moment - with the universe at large, yes, but mostly with himself for being a prize idiot. He's called Itsuki's phone ahead of time to speak to her and tell her that he's coming along, but their conversation didn't last long and it was more than a little strained. Which he guesses he can't blame her for.

At all, in fact.

Suffice it to say that his nerves are now a lot more frazzled than they've been in a while. Monsters? No problem. Overthrowing dictatorships, stopping wars, saving as many lives as he can? He's your man. But domesticity - he hasn't been able to manage domesticity properly since he regenerated into his ninth incarnation. He tries, but it's difficult, and this little incident has just proved why.

Bugger this. He stands in a corridor in Itsuki's house and rubs his hands over his face before he knocks on the door of the living room, where he's been told Haruhi is.]

[Shoves the door to the TARDIS open - he didn't park it that far away, after all.]

[Sets her down next to the control panel so he can take them to the nearest beach]

"No one's cuter than you, Daftie."

"So, the beach! American beach or English beach? Personally, I'd go for an English beach, but you've got to make sure you catch it on a sunny day, and in England those are one in a million."

Any beach as long as it's nice. We could even go to a topless one~

[Raises his eyebrows]

"Don't push it." [Aaaand slams the TARDIS lever down~]

[grips his arm in case there's a rough landing]

"Sure you're not."

[And there is a bit of a rough landing - not too bad by Team TARDIS standards, though!]

"Right then! Off to sand, sea and hopefully sun. Ice cream and hot dogs await!"

[rushes forward and pushes open the TARDIS doors, peeking out excitedly]

[Follows her! The beach outside is like your typical English seaside town, with amusement arcades, a promenade, a pier and a little fun fair. There's shops selling fish and chips, hot dogs, and ice cream dotted along the promenade. It's sunny, but not too sunny, so there's not that many crowds]

"Ohhh, perfect!"

[offers him her hand]

"We certainly did!"

[Takes her hand and heads towards the promenade, humming "Oh We Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside" under his breath~]

[blinks a few times at his humming and then starts to sing it herself. She has a pretty voice okay.]

[She does indeed, and Ten grins at her. We shall ignore the grumpy local old men who are giving us weird looks. WE ARE HAPPY AND PROUD OF IT, miserable gits.]
