timey_wimey: (Hello what's this?)
[ I am very lazy with RLs today so The Doctor is currently sitting at a table in one of the Orbital Elevators on his adopted world, eating a banana split and swinging one leg thoughtfully. He's waiting on Aradia so they can give this time travel with a passenger thing a go. The Doctor has to admit, he already likes Aradia, a lot, and it'll be nice to a] travel around with another alien, 2] - no wait, b] - travel at all, and c] travel through time again to boot.

Truth be told, he's still a little bitter that he's stuck in one place and there's others who can still world hop or time travel. It's stupid, he knows, but he can't help it. He's not made for sticking around in one place, no matter how much he loves the Krung Threp crew, and it's slowly driving him mental. He misses it, and he misses the TARDIS more, and it's getting to him.

Still, this isn't the time to think about that. Today's for fun, he thinks determinedly as he eats another spoonful of banana split. At this point, he's just happy to get somewhere new and see a friendly face. ]
timey_wimey: ("And now we have to talk!")
[Well, Edgeworth had said that the Doctor could have the run of his apartment - or well, the media sections of it, and the Doctor had been more than happy to take him up on that offer. For starters, as lovely as the Lagrange base lot were and as much like family as they were to him, he was going crazy cooped up in that base. Not just from the cabin fever, but being stuck in one place with not much to do was giving him far too much time to think. Getting off of it for a bit, grabbing a world-hop and exploring someone else's very extensive, other-universal media library would be a welcome change. And Edgeworth did have a very nice house.

Currently, the Doctor was knelt in front of Edgeworth's very extensive Steel Samurai collection, reading the backs of the boxes with interest. He'd heard the show mentioned in passing before by one or two people on Edgeworth's world, and he'd never really though much of it, but there was no denying that it definitely wasn't anything that existed on his own Earth, or, come to think of it, any others on the community. And well, that just made him even more curious, especially given that he'd already gone through five books already (one of them had been an Agatha Christie novel that he'd read a lot already, but there was no harm in revisiting your old favourites). Seeing something completely new, he reflected, would be a breath of fresh air, and he couldn't suppress a grin at the thought that Edgeworth of all people was a secret enthusiast of shows with neo-olde-samurai as protagonists.

Now, if only he could figure out which one to start with...]
timey_wimey: (Oh look at that!)
[Okay, so a hazard of piloting an outdated (but still good!) TARDIS on your own when you were essentially a self-taught pilot was that sometimes, you overshot the mark a little - by a hundred years, a hundred miles, or occasionally something a little more serious.

But he was pretty sure he'd never managed to accidentally overshoot his entire universe before. Although in fairness, that had been before the community got involved, and come to think of it he
had accidentally crash-landed on Jacky's ship before...

Okay, so maybe it wasn't the first time. But still, it was a worse oversight than usual. Still, since he'd landed here now, he thought he might as well have a look.

It was when he stepped out of the TARDIS that he had to blink a little and double-check. Because if he was not very much mistaken, he'd just landed somewhere that thousands of people would give their left arm to go to. Namely, the back garden of the Burrow.]

... Ah. Right then.

[He can't quite stop himself beaming as he stands there looking around at the place, though.]
timey_wimey: ([changed] a tragedy starting to happen)
"And then Doctor - oh, but then..."

The Doctor frowned as Carmen spoke, her worried face speaking volumes about the prophecy she was seeing before she'd even made it. Whatever she was about to say, it couldn't be good. Not that it was good already - he'd already heard that your song is ending soon lark once before, from the Ood, and hearing it again just strengthened a horrible suspicion he had about what that meant.

And then she actually came out with the rest of it. "He will knock four times."

And this time the Doctor just stared at her as she walked off, her expression dark, back home to her chops and gravy. He could feel Itsuki looking at him - and that was enough of a problem in itself, having Itsuki around to hear that. For now, though, he'd do whatever he did recently with situations like this.

Avoid them until he had more time to think.

"Come on," he said abruptly, "Back in the TARDIS. We've had quite enough excitement for one day, don't you think?"
timey_wimey: ([changed] all I hear is blah blah blah)
[To say that the past few days had been... interesting... would have been an understatement even by the Doctor's standards. Dealing with unstable and unsavoury people was part of his everyday life, but when said person was someone you saw as a son, under the effects of a virus, it was rather different. Especially when said person was also intent on apparently wrecking all his relationships.

Including the one that he was already wrecking by sheer virtue of his own obliviousness.

Still! Damage control was in order, and since he wasn't in the mood to have any part of the might of Celestial Being brought down against him - and since he was also pretty sick of the obliviousness and moping of certain people who he would not name - he was now busily piloting the TARDIS towards Lagrange point 3, circa 2309.

If truth be told, he'd known this would probably be coming for a while, he thought glumly. Even if this visit was temporary, he knew it was only a matter of time now before Lockon also left the TARDIS for good to go back to the organisation. He hadn't thought it would be quite like this, but... he still wasn't relishing the thought of him leaving, whatever way it happened.

No point in thinking about that though, not when there was going to be some sort of 'throwdown' once they got there. He busily piloted the TARDIS, throwing a final lever so that it materialised right on the Lagrange base.]

Well, here we are.
timey_wimey: (Mmmhmm yeah fantastic)
[The Doctor had set a course for Pete's World - now that it was connected to the community again, it wasn't exactly rocket science. Well, it was, but that wasn't the point. It wasn't the point, either, that he was pretty much breaking every rule that he'd set down for both himself and her the last time he'd seen Rose. Either way, he was on his way there, and no one else would be any the wiser.

Well. He thought he saw Donna give him a knowing look out of the corner of her eye when he sent the rest of the family off to go and have fun somewhere while he "looked into a small something" - but the inevitable talk could wait until later.

For now, he waited next to this universe's version of the Thames - which, he noted, seemed to be slightly cleaner than the one the London of his universe had to offer - and waited.]
timey_wimey: (You say goodbye and I say hello)
[The Doctor still wasn't sure what to think about Haruhi's latest misadventure. On the one hand, he was relieved that she was still alive and, he hoped, unhurt - it could have ended a lot, lot worse. Besides which, he was intensely proud of her for going to help a friend in need, and at least she'd left a note so that he didn't go running about the TARDIS like a headless chicken like he had done quite a few times before, which was always a good thing.

On the other hand, she'd been avoiding them all since she'd got back, and he couldn't help thinking that something had happened which she wasn't telling them about. She'd been spending a lot of time in her room, for one thing...

Nothing more to it, he'd have to do a bit of quiet investigating, just to put his mind at rest. He sighed and rubbed his eye before letting himself quietly into her room and sitting on her bed.]
timey_wimey: (HA!)
[The long-awaited party, which has mostly been of Donna's design, or at least organisation, has ended up being held on a friendly alien planet that among other things, features a mini private theme park that can be hired out to groups. The main party is taking place inside a huuuuge party room which opens onto a small garden that features some of the local wildlife - a type of plant that blows huge, completely natural bubbles at random moments. Since the room's been hired out for... a while, let's say, there's some lanterns set up outside for when it starts getting dark.

Inside the room itself, there's a large table laden with more than enough food for all the guests, some of which looks distinctly non-Earthling. This includes the largest birthday cake ever (of course the Doctor insisted on a cake). Balloons are scattered in the corners and there's a currently silent and unoccupied, slightly alien looking music system waiting to spring into life.]

((OOC: Okay guys, here's the deal: this works a little like an event post in that you can get your character to start their own threads and reply to other people's - otherwise my post will end up dead with one huge thread and everyone else will get bored. XD; This post is open to any of Haruhi's friends and "family" to drop by, as Ten will have been sure to let them all know where it was! Have fun! ♥))
timey_wimey: (Chillaxin in mah TARDIS)
((Just setting this up now so we can get the ball rolling, albeit at a nice steady pace. :3))

[The Doctor was sitting in the TARDIS. Not to go anywhere - the TARDIS was staying safely parked in Haruhi's living room until everybody was properly ready for another adventure. After all the recent hijinks, even he was feeling the strain.

No, the Doctor was in here to think, leaned back in the pilot's seat with a faraway, odd expression on his face. Now that everything had calmed down, he'd been doing quite a bit of thinking, and the TARDIS was the best place to do it. Nice and quiet.

You see, to the Doctor's mind, there was a certain something that... wasn't quite adding up. And it was niggling at his mind. Not just a discrepancy of logic, but a discrepancy of time. An ever so small one, small enough that a distracted enough mind would miss it. And he'd certainly been distracted enough.

But where? He'd had an idea, asked Feldt if he could borrow Haro and review the tapes from... from before the rescue. It had taken a bit of persuasive talk, but he'd finally got a look at them. And something... was definitely off. But what? What was it?

He'd been in here for quite some time, and he wasn't moving anytime soon. If he kept this up, people were probably going to start wondering where he was. But the problem was annoying him, so in here he would stay until someone startled him out of his reverie.]
timey_wimey: (sad!huggings)
[The Doctor ran as fast as his legs could carry him through the corridors of the TARDIS, panting in his hurry to get to Haruhi. Omega, he was so worried about her. As if Lockon wasn't enough - enough for all of them - Haruhi was still sick, and all this stress couldn't be good for her fighting off the infection that was still stubbornly clinging to her system. That sound... that hadn't sounded good.

Damn it. He wished this would stop happening. Or at least stop happening all at once. Haruhi could yell at him or cling to him, whatever, but he was sick of seeing her so sad. That was happening far too often lately.

He tore around the last corner and burst into her room, wild-eyed.]

Haruhi?
timey_wimey: (TARDIS)
[Well, a promise is a promise, and Ten's promised to take Kratos on this one little trip. Even if he doesn't like it. And he doesn't like it, not at all. The last time he gave in, the last time he felt sorry for someone else and took them back to face their past, she - and he, as well - had almost ended up destroying the universe with the paradox that ended up being created.

So it's natural that he's not too thrilled about his moment of weakness. But... Kratos is sensible, and this time, Ten'll be on hand to do damage control before he needs to.

So he's landed the TARDIS near where Kratos is living and is waiting for him, leaning against the old wooden doorframe.]
timey_wimey: (TARDIS)
[The Doctor spent... quite a bit of time at a randomly picked convention on an also randomly picked world, looking for Setsuna's model. Well, strictly speaking picking the model out took him all of about 5 minutes, but he got distracted. First of all, there was the half hour or so spent studying the backs of the boxes trying to figure out how the real things would work. Then there was the hour or so he spent looking at all the other dorky merchandise - he was sure that he saw what must have been a cuddly adipose of all things, and then he got temporarily caught up deciding whether or not to go and see Brad something-or-other the voice actor speak in the corner.

(Deciding no probably held him up just as much as if he had said yes due to the sheer number of people who stopped him to compliment him on his "amazing Tenth Doctor cosplay" and take pictures. He had to hide several smirks from people, especially the ones who said "Wow, you really look like him!").

Eventually, however once the mun stops writing in-jokes into her RL, he managed to drag himself away from the convention and into the TARDIS, setting a course for the island that the now-children were on, and making sure to avoid the area that had the giant robots hidden in it - sure, he might have it all figured out (mostly) and might also be itching to examine them up close, but he didn't want to give the poor boys heart attacks after all.

So he parked on a suitable stretch of beach and walked out of the TARDIS with a brown box under his arm, whistling tunelessly.]
timey_wimey: (lonely angel)
[Having located Haruhi (via this RL Here~) and dragged her in some way, shape or form through the driving rain back to the safety of the TARDIS, the Doctor throws his soaking wet coat over the rail as the door swings shut, and begins to help Haruhi as much as he can to the pilot's chair next to the console.

They're both completely soaked, of course, and the Doctor takes only a couple of moments to get the TARDIS back into the safe retreat of the time vortex before he sighs heavily and leans against the console. He's quite honestly expecting a Q and A from both of his daughters right now, but he's not really making eye contact. Yet. There's a Donna-shaped hole in the TARDIS now, and he's sure that he's not the only one who can feel it.]
timey_wimey: (don't make me look in the mirror)
[Whenever and whoever tries to worldhop to where Ten is using the co-ordinates that the TARDIS hid inside Ten's entry will end up here: the Vault of the Dalek Crucible. It's a bleak, bare room, clearly designed by Daleks.

In the centre of the room, encased in what seems like an invisible tube, stand the Doctor and Haruhi, and nearby, in similar tubes, Rose Tyler, back from a parallel universe, and Jenny, still clutching her trusty gun. Dalek Caan, crazy, driven mad by time, stands twitching and giggling inside what is left of his casing, chained to a nearby wall.

And in front of the Doctor... it appears to be merely another, larger, Dalek at first, but in reality, this is Davros: creator of the Daleks, rescued from the Time War by determination and a mere chance. As the world-hoppers, the Doctor's friends, arrive in the room, they may be able to hear the end of what seems to be another, longer, conversation...

An old, decrepit voice; Davros.] "The man who abhors violence. Never carrying a gun. But this is the truth, Doctor! You take ordinary people and fashion them into weapons. Behold your Children of Time, transformed into murderers. I made the Daleks, Doctor. You made this."

[Those arriving in a place where they can see Ten's face might notice that he looks heartbroken by this proclamation, as if he's trapped in memories, or the realisation of the truth. As they arrive, Dalek Caan speaks in a reedy, high pitched voice, completely mad...]

"See, see! The prophecy unfolds! The Doctor's Children of Time approach!"

[Well, that seems like a fine place for some Children of Time to make an entrance.]

((ooc: Hate to post and run, guys, but I'm in a hurry. XD If I could just ask that we keep the posting order straight so that everyone's always in the same order, so wait for me to post again after everyone's done their bit - there's no hurry, I'll try and make this as relaxed as I can! I'll be NPCing Davros and the Daleks for this. Have fun~!))
timey_wimey: (this is all so difficult)
[Ten is, to put it lightly, completely and utterly fed up at the moment - with the universe at large, yes, but mostly with himself for being a prize idiot. He's called Itsuki's phone ahead of time to speak to her and tell her that he's coming along, but their conversation didn't last long and it was more than a little strained. Which he guesses he can't blame her for.

At all, in fact.

Suffice it to say that his nerves are now a lot more frazzled than they've been in a while. Monsters? No problem. Overthrowing dictatorships, stopping wars, saving as many lives as he can? He's your man. But domesticity - he hasn't been able to manage domesticity properly since he regenerated into his ninth incarnation. He tries, but it's difficult, and this little incident has just proved why.

Bugger this. He stands in a corridor in Itsuki's house and rubs his hands over his face before he knocks on the door of the living room, where he's been told Haruhi is.]
timey_wimey: ([Girl] What's a female Time Lord to do?)
Well, this was absolutely typical. Saved the world, Donna was brilliant, Haruhi was brilliant, Martha was brilliant... and then they get back to the TARDIS and discover that some circuit somewhere has blown, rendering the poor old girl, at least for now, unsafe to travel in. He didn't want her spitting them out in Jordan's world, 5 trillion years into the future. Not his cup of tea, at all.

So repairs were needed. He'd sent Haruhi and Donna off with Martha to celebrate their victory - or possibly to sort out UNIT, he had no idea, really - no sense in them hanging around for the hours it would take to finish fixing her.

And to cap it all off, the bloody virus hadn't worn off yet, and he was still a woman.

He - she, rather, at least for now - sighed, scratched her head, and connected a small laptop up to the TARDIS using some loose wires before sitting outside. Might as well sit in the sun while she ran a diagnostic, she thought to herself, tying back her hair into a loose ponytail and settling down with the laptop sitting on her crossed legs. She reached into her jeans pocket - the suits didn't fit right now, of course - and pulled out the sonic screwdriver, aiming it at the screen.

"Come on, old girl, what's wrong with you, eh? Some sort of loose connection...?" she muttered under her breath, brushing a stray strand of hair out of her eyes.
timey_wimey: ([Girl] What's a female Time Lord to do?)
[Is trailing a little way behind the other two girls, trying to ignore their inevitable giggling about his current predicament. He's definitely not looking as enthusiastic as usual - in fact, he looks downright miserable, and may or may not be whining under his breath as he tries to hide his new figure underneath his coat. Under the coat, he's in some jeans and a t-shirt that he fished out of the TARDIS wardrobe.]

"I feel like an idiot."
timey_wimey: (i'm so sorry)
[Is hovering and leaning heavily on the doorframe of Haruhi's room.]

"Haruhi? Can I come in?"
timey_wimey: (*checks flist for drama*)
[The sounds of the TARDIS moving can be heard as the mike comes on, but it sounds different - forced, and there's the sounds of a lot of sparks coming off the console]

Donna! I think I might have found something! Well, you know, I've been searching for ages, combing through the universes - hmm. Actually, you know what, I hope that I get back to the right time and place, if I've been searching for ages. I mean, it's been ages for me, but it should only have been about a day for you. Hope that this post goes to the right time, because you know, if you didn't hear this it would be a bit rubbish, wouldn't it?

Anyway! Back on topic - oo, hang on a sec - [sounds of mallet A being applied to console B] - yeah, as I was saying, I got nothing for ages, absolutely nothing. And I was about to give up when I thought "Why not try the photograph?" So I hooked the photo that Haruhi gave me up to the TARDIS and I got this trace! Brilliant, isn't it?!

[Sounds of a dial turning] I'm trying to lock onto it and follow it now. It's very faint, and it's far too close to the Void for my liking - that's a big empty place full of nothing, by the way, some folk call it Hell - but it's worth a look, don't you think? Course it is!

Right, I'm on my way to pick you up so we can have a look together. We can leave Haruhi where she is, she'll be fine, and I don't want to get her hopes up too much - whoa! Careful there, old girl!

[Click!]

((OOC: Hi Random~! When Donna replies to this, we can turn it into a mini-RL that leads onto the beginning of Pompeii, if you want. ^__^ For stalkers: Ten HASN'T found Roxas, he just thinks he has. D:))
timey_wimey: (TARDIS)
[Vworp Vworp vworp announces the TARDIS's presence somewhere near one of Haruhi's windows. Probably right outside one of them, actually. Ten steps out, looking chipper as ever, and walks over to said window, tapping on the glass.]

"Hello~? Haruhi? I said look out the window, didn't I? Hope your parents don't end up seeing this. That could be a little awkward."
