timey_wimey: (Ten lols at you)

Well well well...

What Sam said, it got me. Well, it got me a bit curious, really. I mean, I know I'm brilliant, but finding out that I'm a character in a kids' show is pretty impressive. I mean, me! In a kids show! The children of the Great British nation, sitting down to watch me battle the Daleks and Cybermen! I mean that's... well, I dunno. What's the world coming to, hmm? It might not be the lot I'm used to, but it's close enough.

Anyway, enough of that. Long story short and all that, I decided to have a look and see if I couldn't find some of this show. So I parked the TARDIS near a local Woolworths, tricked the nearby ATM into giving me a little cash, and bought a couple of the DVDS.

The cardboard Daleks, though. Well, suffice it to say I couldn't really take that seriously. You humans, what am I going to do with you, eh?

Oh, and while I'm at it, does anyone fancy some leftover cake? The bits that are left are going to get a little stale at this point.

Enjoying the cloak?

((OOC: Basically, Ten's watching his own canon, slowly but surely. XD LET THE FUN BEGIN.))

... Oh, that's brilliant. Oh, wow. You shall have to tell us what you think once you've got through them. As for the cardboard Daleks and such... people get a bit obsessive, really. Hardcore fans, you know; dressing up in costumes, read all the novels, learn to write in Old High Gallifreyan- it's a bit mental.

You celebrated a holiday with the Master? Just... hung out with him, without him trying to kill you or enslave the known universe while he was at it?

Of course they are! Mentalists, the lot of 'em. But what can you expect from television people, really? And yeah, I'm afraid, about the fans. A lot of 'em are even worse than Trekkies. There's not as many obsessive Who fans, but... they get pretty creepy.

A Dalek cake? ... Is that usual, with this regeneration of him? He keeps trying to convince me that he's changed, but, well, you'd understand why I'd be hesitant to believe him.

Hah, yeah. That and the Gamestation, though it's one and the same thing, really; the epitome of bad television, that.

... Right. Hope's a good thing to have. Still though- strange. I guess- I don't really know what to think of him.

A bit rude, yeah. There's no need to generalise; plenty of people who don't have time for that rubbish. Though I s'pose there's still plenty who do. Never really understood it meself; better things to do with one's time, seems to me.

I wouldn't have thought it would. ... Good luck, with him. Just, for the future.

Fair enough, I suppose. But then, I'm not exactly what you might call a fan of the media.

You too huh? That's really weird! From what I've found on the Internet, I'm in some kind of show called a "cartoon". It's a little creepy, but apparently people really like it...actually watching yourself in a show like that must feel even weirder though, huh?

What kind of cake is it? :D

[identity profile] new-avatar.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I haven't been around - I've got a lot of training to do. :/ But hey, no better time to catch up than now, right? It's great to see you again, Ten!
So you do have cartoons on your world. I don't, but I've heard about them. Hehe, I dunno about "poncy", but I like your accent! Don't worry about being self-conscious, you're a great guy as is. Say, is my cartoon showing in your world?

Mm, sounds like it was good! Wait, edible ball bearings? ...um, I guess we don't have those here either.

Reunions are better when danger's not involved. You mean Jordan and Eva's wedding right? Of course! I'm the flower boy! :D

Sorry, I forget what it's called. Probably has the word "Avatar" in it. Thanks! That zappy gadget of yours was really awesome!

I agree! I kinda prefer pies and tarts myself, but I'll never turn down a cake either. Let me know when you do, and I'll bake you a fruit pie!
