Hmm. You know, I was about to make an entry about how I've been very very good by most people's standards lately and managed not to get myself into too much trouble. Honestly, I'm getting far too domestic. If I keep this up, I'll be making it a habit, and then where will I be?

Anyway! All that aside, I was about to make an entry like that, but it just occurred to me... if I remember rightly, it's Haruhi's birthday coming up soon.

So, the million-dollar question is, anyone want to help me plan a party? Donna, you're good at this sort of thing, you can help me out. Right?

Will the party be in the TARDIS or are we going out for it?

Sounds best to me. I don't think the TARDIS would appreciate the loud noise from all the guests and knowing Haruhi she'll want a big party.

Any restaurants or amusement parks she's fond of? Or should we go all out and try to get a place at a space station or on an alien planet? Actually, it'd probably be best to go for the space station or alien planet. Any places you know of that are good, Spaceman? I know there was one place where we had some good chips. Maybe she'd like to have a party there....

Not to mention the mess. There's always a mess at these things.

Oh, come on, you know me, Donna. I say we go all out, and I know one or two good planets. 'Course, depends what sort of party we want to go for, but I can check around the place beforehand, make sure there's no hiccups that we might run into.

Of course there's a mess! That's why you include a good group of cleaners into the budget! No one ever thinks of that!

All right then! You go get me the specs on those places. We can't figure out the kind of party until we know what venues are available on that day. When is her birthday, anyway? I need a timeline to work with!

I'm not letting a bunch of cleaners run rampant all over my TARDIS, Donna!

The 21st, I think. Either way, you'll have the specs on the planets in as much time as you need them, I promise.

Why? Afraid you'd lose something from those mountains of clothes in that room? I'm sure she'd like a good scrub down at some point. When was the last time you gave her a thorough cleaning?

You think? ~~I'll go ask Kyon and Itsuki for confirmation...~~ Right. I'll work on the guest list, then, and figuring out the invitations. And presents! We must not forget presents!

Well, I had to find out on my own, you know, she didn't exactly tell me! And even I wouldn't forget presents, Donna.

Except the part you just cleaned winds up a mess all over again a week later.

We just need to figure out what to get her.

Only because I need to find the things that I've tidied away.

I did, but somehow I got the feeling that she wouldn't tell me even if I asked...

Yeah. I hadn't quite got to that part yet.
