because I'm curious even though they haven't interacted much yet. |Dno subject
The very little Kratos has revealed about himself has just made Ten more curious and more interested in him, especially since he just signed off after Ten said that he thought he was older than he looked. (It wasn't that offensive, was it?!) He's looking forward to talking to Kratos more and getting him out of his shell.

On the other hand, he's also exasperated at her complete disregard for normal social conventions (such as not stripping in the middle of a jungle when you're being chased, l-lol), and I foresee many early-morning battles with Ten trying to get Haruhi out of bed before he finally gives up on her, ha ha.
One thing he's really not sure how to breach with her is that she called him "Papa." It meant a lot to him - it really did - but he's still not sure how to react to that or if she really sees him that way - she was half-asleep at the time. On top of that, he's not sure if he'd make that good a dad anymore. He's still trying to figure it out himself.
no subject
But srsly, Ten is like...the only person who ever looked out for Haruhi like a parent should. Her friends can only do so much. He can make her feel safe like no one else can and it's a feeling she really clings too. She feels like Ten accepts her for who she is and isn't out there to make her change. And the thing about staying with her? Meant more than anything anyone has ever said. So to an extent, he's the closest thing to a parent she's ever had and I think she only realizes this on a subconcious level. She's not out looking for parental guidence, but likes it when Ten gives it to her. So she really does think of him as a dad, but she hasn't really put it together yet.
I guess the only bad thing is that all of Ten's friends really fuel Haruhi's jealousy complex. When they're mentioned, especially other female friends, she tends to get huffy and short.
And I was watching Human Nature/Family of Blood yesterday and I was thinking that Haruhi would have been an adorable daughter to 1913 single daddy John Smith. >_>

B-but Ten likes having lots of friends! He can't help it, he likes people. >:
.... Someone needs to write an AU fic of that, right now.
no subject
fff he'll just have to deal with her crazy jealousy then. >:
It would be so freaking cute. Ded by cute.
no subject
P-poor Ten, he hates fighting. >:
Death by cute isn't such a bad way to go. |D
no subject
Well, luckily, she usually just goes off and sulks on her own? :D
ffff, he'd spoil her, so much :|

A-and I kinda prefer to keep this sort of thing in the journals as well, if only for easy reference. >.> Maybe I should make a perma-link.Ten thinks Itsuki likes being mysterious far too much for his own good, and I think his feelings on what would happen should he ever be caught in a compromising position with Haruhi have been made abundantly clear. 8D;
Other than that... Ten likes Itsuki because he's genuinely easy to get along with and nice to talk to. On top of that, he's Haruhi's friend and cares about her, which is good enough for Ten (the aforementioned compromising situations notwithstanding.)
no subject
ffff he does do that, doesn't he? It's all a part of his 'mysterious transfer student' persona, so Itsuki thinks he's getting too mysterious for his own good sometimes, too. (Also HOLY SHIT IT'S AN ENRAGED FATHER GET IN THE CAR. Itsuki... definitely does not want to upset Ten, but it's hard when you have scantily clad female friends who like cuddling.)
Also he's getting really close to telling Ten about Haruhi, just because in his opinion anyone that's that close to her kind of needs to know.
no subject
If he keeps this up he's gonna have a full-blown aura of mysteriousness to go with that persona. (CARS CANNOT SAVE YOU. TEN'S BEEN IN A CAR CHASE USING THE TARDIS BEFORE.)
Heee, I can't wait till Ten finds out. It'll be interesting, that's for sure.
no subject
...Itsuki wonders if Ten even knows that Haruhi's kind of got a boyfriend now, but he's certainly not going to be the one to tell him. 8D;; Itsuki likes to save his own skin.
I was actually thinking after mental regression? Because Itsuki's going to let slip a decent amount of odd hints during that, and he knows the Doctor's smart enough not to buy any of his excuses.
no subject
Ten suspects, as a matter of fact, due to some stuff that Haruhi said to him at Edgeworth's party, but he doesn't actually KNOW properly. When he does find out, he'll probably actually sit Kyon down and give him the full "WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS WITH MY DAUGHTER" talk. Or at least warn him that if he ever hurts Haruhi, he'll have Ten to deal with.
Wow, that's actually pretty close, but it would work, ha ha! Are we still up for Ten playing daddy to those two while they're cute and regressed? XD
no subject
Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be that close myself. xD; I looked at the schedule and went "...wow, really?" Haruhi and I had been tossing the idea around while you were off being in France, I had expected it to be at the end of the month for some reason. And yes, I am always up for cute of that nature. |D

Ten
Ten is intrigued by Edgeworth, even after talking more with him over the months they've known each other. He's not really put off to badly by the fact that Edgeworth can be an obnoxious asshole
most of the timesometimes - he's seen enough humans to know that at heart, he's a good person. The little bits of personal info that have slipped through the cracks (HM virus, etc) have only really served to interest Ten more - but he's not stupid enough to go snooping around or even to ask Edgeworth outright- he knows respect with this guy is earned. And Ten is more than happy to earn it. Which is why he will be keeping his mouth tight shut regarding Gallifrey and some of his more... anarchic... exploits. More than anything, he wants to earn that respect and find out a little more about what exactly makes this guy tick.
Besides, it's nice to have some intelligent conversation.
Pearls
Pearl has somehow managed to miss most of the bad-mouthing that went on in the wake of the HM virus - which is just as well, really. She's still firmly in the belief that Mr. Edgeworth is a misunderstood man who's often cranky but has a good heart. After all, he's nice enough to her, which has to count for something, right?
She does think that Edgeworth could stand to lighten up a little with some things - his birthday party comes to mind - because she gets the feeling that he hurts people's feelings sometimes. She'd probably never say this to his face unless he made her cross for some reason, though - she's become too fond of him and holds the things he says in high regard.
Oh, also? He needs to take better care of himself. >8|
Gumshoe
Gumshoe will always stand by Edgeworth, no matter what anyone says about him - he doesn't just see it as his duty, he also genuinely believes that Edgeworth is a good person and a great boss. So because of that, he'll happily continue to brush off any and all remarks made about him with "That's just Mr. Edgeworth's way."
He has the highest respect for Edgeworth as a prosecutor and increasingly as a man and really does want to do his job properly. So when he gets a put-down from Edgeworth, it does knock him back more than he lets on (even if he bounces back from it fairly quickly). Gumshoe figures though, that if he is getting reprimanded, he must have done something to deserve it, which is partly why he bounces back so easily.
One thing Gumshoe has resigned himself towards is that he's never likely to find out anything more about Edgeworth personally. They've got a good working relationship and as far as Gumshoe's concerned, that's fine.

Ten - Edgeworth is intrigued by Ten as well. Ten's obviously highly intelligent yet kind of...dorky, which serves to confuse Edgeworth on occasion and makes him more curious about the Doctor. Their conversations aren't always comfortable but several of them have been mentally stimulating, and their talks on time travel have simultaneously eased some fears for him and created new ones. For now (as long as certain parts of Ten's past don't come to light, and Ten doesn't force their association or nag him incessantly XD) Edgeworth wouldn't mind finding out more about the enigmatic Doctor.
Pearls - Edgeworth is grateful Pearl has missed some of the worst stuff that's happened on the comm. XD Pearl is one of the few people he doesn't want to hurt, and when he does he has a tendency to feel guilty over it because Pearl's completely innocent and invariably hasn't done anything wrong, though she often seems to think she did. He still doesn't really know how to treat her: as he's not used to dealing with children so young, he often ends up reacting to her as he'd react to most other people, which can be a very bad thing, but she's also one of the only people he makes an effort to hold back around and he's generally more gentle with her than he would be with anyone else. After having seen all the stuff she's been through, especially in the last few months, he's also growing protective of her, and she hits those soft spots he has for innocent young girls and children who've lost their parents.
Gumshoe - Edgeworth thinks he has Gumshoe figured out. He trusts Gumshoe to act as he thinks Gumshoe is going to act, which generally means Gumshoe will blab about things that he shouldn't, will screw things up on a regular basis...and will support Edgeworth in every way he can. In his own way he appreciates Gumshoe's unfailing professional loyalty, and it's one of the reasons Gumshoe was the one he turned to when he needed to keep close tabs on events back in LA.
As for getting to know each other personally, Edgeworth sees Gumshoe on an entirely professional level, and wants to keep it that way. Gumshoe already knows far too much about his history and personal life, thanks to Edgeworth's trial, and he doesn't want his personal life and professional life to bleed into each other any more than they already do.
...Okay, no, he doesn't want his personal life to bleed into his professional one. His professional one has already pretty firmly burrowed its way into his personal one. :/

Re: Ten - doesn't Edgey know that genius and dorkiness often come hand in hand? :3
no subject
Edgeworth has met plenty of near-geniuses, but none of them were really dorky, so no, he doesn't know. :D Several of them were also sociopaths, so at least Ten's already a step above them!

Ten still likes Sam a lot, and he's glad that he's found happiness for himself in 1973 (even if he's still got a few misgivings about exactly how Sam got back there. He still plans on checking that out when he finds time.) Otherwise, he admires Sam for trying to make the 70s better with his 21st century insight. He actually still finds the whole TV thing really flattering, ha ha. And he's still going to hold Sam to that promised drink, as well as giving him a trip in the TARDIS. He just needs to find the time.
Lucy
Lucy.... well, on the one hand, Ten isn't overly fond of Lucy, for A) Shooting the Master at the end of the Year That Wasn't (although he can see her reasons and he's slightly over that now), B) Trying to rewrite the Master's brain when he was at his most vulnerable. Not good ways to get on his good side, although he's sure that she doesn't care about that. He knows she can't be trusted, but at the same time he can't help wanting to give her a chance, because he saw some of how she suffered during the Year. On a certain level, he pities her; but he doesn't trust her. At best, he respects her enough to be civil, but he'd rather keep as far away from her as possible.
Bertie
They haven't talked much, but Ten sees Bertie as a harmless old fruit (lol) who's been screwed over by the Master, and he pities him for that because he reckons Bertie deserves better. If they talked more Ten would probably get on with him quite well. ^_^
