[RL - Haruhi; Lockon later on - ... and sometimes, everybody lives.]
((Just setting this up now so we can get the ball rolling, albeit at a nice steady pace. :3))
[The Doctor was sitting in the TARDIS. Not to go anywhere - the TARDIS was staying safely parked in Haruhi's living room until everybody was properly ready for another adventure. After all the recent hijinks, even he was feeling the strain.
No, the Doctor was in here to think, leaned back in the pilot's seat with a faraway, odd expression on his face. Now that everything had calmed down, he'd been doing quite a bit of thinking, and the TARDIS was the best place to do it. Nice and quiet.
You see, to the Doctor's mind, there was a certain something that... wasn't quite adding up. And it was niggling at his mind. Not just a discrepancy of logic, but a discrepancy of time. An ever so small one, small enough that a distracted enough mind would miss it. And he'd certainly been distracted enough.
But where? He'd had an idea, asked Feldt if he could borrow Haro and review the tapes from... from before the rescue. It had taken a bit of persuasive talk, but he'd finally got a look at them. And something... was definitely off. But what? What was it?
He'd been in here for quite some time, and he wasn't moving anytime soon. If he kept this up, people were probably going to start wondering where he was. But the problem was annoying him, so in here he would stay until someone startled him out of his reverie.]

Right, I'll go then. [He waves the psychic paper as he springs to his feet and heads for the door.] This'll get us past all those pesky queues and things in no time. I'll be 2 minutes tops.
[Without waiting for an answer - time is of the essence - he rushes out of the TARDIS, and true to his words, it's no more than 2 minutes or so before he throws the doors open again, looking slightly hassled and talking quickly to two humanoid people in white uniforms who are wheeling a stretcher up the ramp into the control room. He runs ahead of them and kneels down next to Haruhi, reaching out a hand to squeeze her shoulder.]
It'll be okay, I promise. [He lowers his voice so that only she can hear it.] These people think I'm the President of New Mercury, so there won't be any trouble with making sure he gets looked after.

I just got him back, I don't want to lose him so quickly again.
no subject
I know you don't. But if we don't let him get help then that's what'll happen. [In a low, conspiratorial voice again] Besides, they're not going to deny visiting rights to the President of New Mercury's daughter, are they?
no subject
I-I'm going to leave you for...for awhile, but I'll be back...with you soon.

[They clearly want her to move out the way so they can get on with their work.]

Ten sighs and looks down at her, offering her his hand.] Shall we go and wait, then?

no subject
... Do you want to get changed first?
no subject
Want to see him.
no subject
He'll be okay. They're good people here, they know what they're doing.
no subject
I know.
no subject
Right then. Waiting area.

They said it was near the shop, didn't they?

Right. It's this way. [He motions to their right.] Come on.

They've got a shop. I'm going to take that as a sign of good luck.
no subject
Good luck?
